Day boat Cornish Turbot. The king of flat fish. Firm, meaty, packed with umami.Very versatile and just as good steamed as it is grilled or pan fried. Can be paired with rich, heavy sauces with butter or cream or light, delicate sauces with broths and vegetables.
Turbot live on the sea floor eating small fish and crustaceans. They are quite abundant. Our fishermen use targeted nets without dredging to have a lesser impact on the sea floor and surrounding ecosystem. The smaller boats we buy from are able to return any undersized fish or bycatch fish unharmed to live another day.
